Nomad Foods has appointed Dominic Brisby as its next executive president and CEO, as well as a member of the board of directors, effective 3 November.
Woking, England-based Nomad Foods said Brisby will fully take on the role after working with the company’s current CEO Stéfan Descheemaeker through 1 January 2026, after which Descheemaeker will move on to a role as a member of the company’s board.
Descheemaeker has been Nomad Foods’ CEO since 2015 and oversaw the company through a series of consumer trend changes. Even though the company recently announced new financial targets amid sales declines in H1 2025, during his tenure, the company successfully posted nine straight years of adjusted EBITDA growth, the company said.
“I am proud of what we have built at Nomad Foods. The company has become the leading savory frozen food business in Europe and one of the largest savory frozen food companies worldwide,” Descheemaeker said. “We have built a portfolio of market-leading brands in an on-trend category while attracting top-tier talent which positions the company to win. After 10 years as CEO, I believe now is the appropriate time to transition to new leadership who can take the company to new heights.”
Descheemaeker said that the company and its board have been planning for his retirement.

Brisby recently served as the president of North America and Europe at Flora Food Group, a plant-based food company, leading that company to securing its highest-ever market share in North America. Prior to that, he served as co-CEO at Imperial Brands.
